Choose the Right Size
Single models save space; double models provide more room to lie diagonally but are not automatically approved for two occupants. Use the maker’s current working-load guidance and allow extra fabric without stretching the hammock tight.
Tree-Friendly Suspension
Use wide webbing straps on healthy, permitted trees. Never use thin rope that can damage bark, and do not attach to posts, railings or structures unless the owner specifically approves hammock loads.
Safer Hanging Basics
Hang low over a clear surface, keep a gentle curve in the hammock and inspect every strap, seam and connector before use. Follow park rules and never suspend above rocks, water or steep ground.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can two people use a double hammock?
Only if the exact model’s current capacity and instructions permit it. “Double” often describes width, not permission to exceed rated use.
Are hammock straps included?
Some packages include suspension and others do not. Check the listing for straps, carabiners and their individual ratings.
Can I leave a hammock outside?
Long exposure to sun, rain and dirt shortens fabric life. Dry it fully and store it indoors after use.
How high should a hammock hang?
Keep the sitting height low and follow the maker’s setup angle and clearance instructions over a hazard-free surface.
